reconstruction of a Vigo-Fontana enviroment
The exhibition inaugurates the new Sorol Art Museum in Gangneung City, South Korea, designed by Richard Meier’s Meier Partners studio and built by the Korean Research Institute of Contemporary Art (KoRICA) Foundation. This is the first exhibition dedicated to Lucio Fontana ever organized in South Korea, curated by the Korean Research Institute of Contemporary Art in collaboration with the Lucio Fontana Foundation, and features a selection of important works created between 1949 and the late 1960s from the Foundation’s collection, as well as six Spatial Environments presented for the first time in Asia.
Nanda Vigo is present with a reconstruction of Ambiente spaziale: “Utopie,” made with Fontana in 1964 for the 13th Milan Triennale.
