group exhibition
Musée cantonal de design et d’arts appliqués contemporains Lausanne
March 7 – August 4, 2024
Curated by the Vitra Design Museum, the exhibition explores design from the birth of Surrealism in 1924 to the present among iconic Surrealist art and design works and contemporary counterpoints.
The exhibition reveals the impact on design of one of the most influential movements of the 20th century through questioning conventions and exploring the mind, the unconscious and the mystical.
It brings together the best of Surrealist design, from furniture to interior design, from fashion to photography, collecting the works of Surrealist pioneers such as Salvador Dalí, Dora Maar, Man Ray, Leonora Carrington and Lee Miller, along with those of contemporary artists and designers, such as Schiaparelli, Dior, and Björk.
Nanda Vigo is featured with the chair “Due più.”
