Milan Design Week 2025 – Fabbrica del Vapore, Milan

Nanda Vigo’s archival collection, recently donated by the Vigo heirs to CASVA, the Milan City Council body in charge of the preservation and enhancement of project archives, represents an important opportunity to explore her multidisciplinary work, which spans art, design and architecture.
Thanks to the inventorying carried out with the support of the Soprintendenza Archivista e Bibliografica della Lombardia, the exhibition aims to make explicit what the curators are proposing at this early stage of studies on the archive: a preliminary reading by exemplary thematic cases, aimed at investigating some of the different design and creative themes tackled by Nanda Vigo, from industrial product design to the rediscovery of craftsmanship, from interior design, sophisticated in its realizable concreteness, to the “open” environment dedicated to performances, from commercial exhibition spaces to museum spaces, from artistic research to the project on an architectural scale.
