Milan Design Week 2025 – Fabbrica del Vapore, Milan

The notified paper archive of Nanda Vigo, recently donated by Vigo’s heirs to CASVA, an entity of the City of Milan in charge of the preservation and enhancement of project archives, represents an important opportunity to explore the artist’s multidisciplinary work, which spanned art, design and architecture.
Thanks to the inventorying carried out with the support of the Soprintendenza Archivista e Bibliografica della Lombardia, the exhibition aims to make explicit what the curators are proposing at this early stage of studies on the archive: a preliminary reading by exemplary thematic cases, aimed at investigating some of the different design and creative themes tackled by Nanda Vigo, from industrial product design to the rediscovery of craftsmanship, from interior design, sophisticated in its realizable concreteness, to the “open” environment dedicated to performances, from commercial exhibition spaces to museum spaces, from artistic research to the project on an architectural scale.
